The copper artwork looks very simple. Its production process is by no means a simple process of assembly and stacking, but requires professional casting technology and sculpting, mold opening and other complex process operations and running-in. After adopting appropriate The sculpture is made of copper alloy material, high temperature, hot melt casting. Today, the copper art family will share with you the production process of copper artwork decorations.

1. Clay sculpture

To design a sculpture model, first of all, it is to fully conceive the overall structure and effect of the sculpture model and design and produce drawings to lay the foundation for the next step of making clay drafts.

The predecessor of each product needs a clay sculpture prototype. The clay sculptures are all re-creation after repeated speculation and deliberation by the sculptor on the basis of the original design draft. The modeling of the clay sculpture is good or bad, the expression of charm, and the expression of intention. It will directly affect the quality of future products, and an excellent finished bronze sculpture is inseparable from an excellent sculptor. The bronze art family perfectly integrates bronze ware with Chinese traditional culture, and uses the concept of inheritance and innovation to fit the atmosphere of contemporary China.

The specific operation steps of clay sculpture include: sculpting mud preparation and screening, water spraying to awaken the mud, building skeleton, holding mud device, putting on big mud, and shaping. From this stage on, the clay sculpture must be sprayed with water frequently to keep it from cracking. It must be covered with a plastic film to moisturize until the sculpture mold is completed. This work is done by a professional sculptor.

After the large-scale sculpture is completed, the client should be notified to review and comment or modify the clay modeling. Continue to deliberate and adjust and shape the details to perfection. After all the modeling is completed, use the scraper to scrape the whole.

Second, remake the mold

According to the specific requirements such as the size and fineness of the sculpture, different reworking techniques are adopted. The sculptures are larger and require relatively low fineness using plaster and FRP reversal molds; for smaller sculptures and relatively high fineness requirements, use silica gel reversal molds. Under normal circumstances, a combination of two processes is used to turn the mold. In the same sculpture, the large-scale modeling with relatively simple transitions, undulations, lines and details is made of plaster and glass fiber reinforced plastics, and the shapes of local details and complex lines are made of silica gel.

The plaster and glass fiber reinforced plastic molds are rebuilt, and the block molds are divided and designed on the clay sculptures, and then the release agent is sprayed as isolation protection. Professional turning technicians mix gypsum slurry on the clay and cover it. After the plaster has hardened and dried, the mold will be demolded. Before demolding, the gripper should be fixed on the block. The gripper is made of plaster and hemp wrapped around the wooden stake. After demolding, the residual mud on the block mold is removed, and the plaster mold is meticulously repaired and polished after completion. The opening methods of FRP molds are basically the same.

Turn over the silica gel mold, and brush the silica gel on the clay according to the process. The silica gel is prepared by adding silica gel oil, curing agent, etc. Brush one layer first, and brush the second layer together with gauze. Generally, three to five layers are required. It is required to brush evenly and stick the gauze reasonably to prevent deformation. Then attach a plaster to the outside of the silica gel to fix its shape. After the curing is completed, open the mold and arrange it.

3. Making a paraffin prototype (wax statuette)

Nowadays, the commonly used casting methods for Sculpture Art Casting are "lost wax method" and "sand casting".

"Lost wax method" is a method of ancient metal casting. The tire mold is made of wax, and the external molding material is applied to become an integral mold. Heating will be waxed to form a cavity casting mold, pour the liquid metal, and cool down to obtain a molded casting. This method belongs to the category of "investment casting" and is generally used for casting very fine and complex shapes of bronze sculptures.
